Msambweni Progress

Msambweni Villas draws inspiration from the rich Swahili coastal architectural language, blending monolithic contemporary forms with handcrafted local detailing. Locally crafted timber screens have been used to frame and protect all openings, while repetitive arched windows reinterpret the traditional Swahili aesthetic in a modern expression.

The parapet walls, articulated with moulded upstand detailing, further reinforce the project’s coastal identity and give the architecture a refined yet honest character. The result is a sculptural composition that balances solidity with warmth and craftsmanship.

The Back Garden

The site layout carefully positions the two villas around a shared L-shaped swimming pool, creating a strong visual and social connection between both residences while maintaining private seating and relaxation areas for each villa.

Both villas are oriented to maximize uninterrupted ocean views through the lounge and dining spaces, extending outward toward the upper-floor terraces and enhancing the relationship between indoor living and the coastal landscape.

The Pool View

The 3 bedroom apartment consists of open plan living spaces of a Kitchen, Dining and Lounge accessed from a central lobby and corridor space. The lounge opens up to an expansive balcony overlooking the Garden and Swimming pool space with the infinite ocean beyond.
